Melbourne minor key pop magicians Crayon Fields announce the release of their long-awaited second album, following up their airy, chiming 2006 debut Animal Bells.
After three limited edition vinyl single releases in the last 12 months, it’s finally time to marvel at the loping bass lines, swooning strings and eerie, hypnotic harmonies of All The Pleasures in its entirety.
The album was recorded at Head Gap studios in Melbourne with Neil Thomason (the Slits, My Disco, Ned Collette) with mixing and mastering was done by Lachlan Carrick
(the Necks, Gotye, Architecture In Helsinki) at Moose Mastering.
The already ecstatically received album is a stunning development on Animal Bells, with a newfound confidence and lyrical openness from Geoff, and some of the most luscious backing ever heard on an Australian pop record from bassist Brett Hudson, guitarist Chris Hung and drummer Neil Erenstrom.

Animal Bells is an unruffled, dreamy pop masterpiece from this young Melbourne quartet, 12 minor key pop masterpieces filled with soaring harmonies and ringing 12 string guitar. Think the Zombies, Byrds and Beach Boys, but also think the peculiar genius of singer/guitarist Geoff O’Connor who has deft and idiosyncratic touch all his own.
